Services at Erskineville Doctors
Erskineville Doctors has been a part of the Erskineville community since 1985. We are a small group of general practitioners who enjoy seeing patients of all ages and from all walks of life. We aim to offer the best possible health care for you and your family.
Antenatal Shared Care
Under normal circumstances we require you to come to our surgery. We provide home visits to our regular patients who cannot physically attend the surgery, due to disability or acute illness. Please discuss your needs with our reception staff or Practice Nurse.
Ana Harkin RN, our Practice Nurse, has many years of experience in all aspects of nursing, including general practice. Ana is available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays to support our GPs. She can assist patients with wound care, BP checks, blood collection, immunisations and patient education.
Repeat Prescriptions & Referrals
Our doctors may write repeat prescriptions or ongoing referrals based on telephone requests if you have attended the surgery in the last 12 months. Your doctor will review your file and decide if this is medically appropriate and will indicate when you should next be reviewed in person.
Administration charges for any service provided outside a formal consultation are as follows:
- Authority scripts $15.00
- Normal scripts $10.00
- Referrals $20.00
- Payable when you collect the script/referral.
National Home Doctor Service is our after-hours deputising service.
For serious emergencies call an ambulance (000) or got to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital’s Emergency Department at Missenden Rd Camperdown.
For other problems you can go to the General Practice Casualty – staffed by local GPs at Balmain Hospital.
