Coming to the practice for appointments

The seven-day isolation requirement remains in place for anyone who has recorded a positive RAT or PCR result for COVID. Close contacts will need to comply with the guidelines for 7 days from the time a person in their household tested positive for COVID-19. Among the guidelines is that a person who is a close contact must not visit aged care, hospitals, disability, and correctional facilities. A reminder (or a lesson!) about a couple of ways you are able to make some savings on your annual healthcare costs. We recommended that all patients register with Medicare as a family or couple so that all your out-of-pocket costs are counted together towards the Extended Medicare Safety Net thresholds and the PBS Safety Net thresholds. Information for patients diagnosed with COVID 19 – Erskineville Doctors I’ve tested positive for COVID 19, what do I do now? If you have severe illness including shortness of breath, fainting, inability to eat and drink or any other severe illness dial 000 and inform the operator you are COVID positive. Stay home – do not go out. If you have tested positive on a Rapid Antigen Test and have symptoms you should assume this is a true positive result. You do not need to get a formal PCR test. How to get proof of your COVID vaccines

We upload all vaccination records to the Australian Immunisations Register at the end of each vaccine clinic. You will be able to obtain a record from Medicare in several ways – see this link below https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/individuals/subjects/getting-help-during-coronavirus-covid-19/covid-19-vaccinations/how-get-proof-your-covid-19-vaccinations We recommend using the Medicare Express Plus app as this allows you to obtain a digital certificate which can we saved in your phone’s “wallet”. Telehealth appointments only during lockdown

Under the current Public Health Orders a reasonable excuse for leaving home is for essential medical care. Following advice from NSW Health we are booking all of our appointments as telehealth consultations, unless your presentation requires a face-to-face appointment for clinical reasons. As a default we will talk to you first and then arrange to bring you in for examination. Telehealth appointments will be billed as per our usual billing policies.
